Northeast Gas Association

The NGA is a regional trade association that focuses on education and training, technology research and development, operations, planning, and increasing public awareness of natural gas in the Northeast U.S. NGA represents natural gas distribution companies, transmission companies, liquefied natural gas importers, and associate member companies. These companies provide natural gas to over 9.5 million customers in eight states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont). Established on January 1, 2003, its predecessor organizations were The New England Gas Association (founded in 1926) and the New York Gas Group (founded in 1973). American Gas Association

The American Gas Association, founded in 1918, represents 195 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States. There are more than 70 million residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the U.S., of which 91 percent – more than 64 million customers – receive their gas from AGA members. GTI is a not-for-profit Research and Development (R&D) organization.
